History
Our program began accepting students in the 2014-2015 academic year.
Qualification Awarded
The students who have graduated from the programme are awarded with a Master of Science degree (mathematician) in the field of Mathematics.
Level of Qualification (Short Cycle , First Cycle , Second Cycle, Third Cycle)
Specific Admission Requirements
1- First Cycle and Second Degree in same or in related disciplines. 2- Acceptable score on ALES (Graduation Education Entrance Examination) or equivalent GRE or GMAT. 3- Acceptable score on Language Proficiency 4- Acceptable weighted score based on the cumulative grade point average gained in first cycle degree, ALES score and the evaluation of related academic unit commiittee 5- Admission is based on the evaluation of the department
Specific Arrangements For Recognition Of Prior Learning (Formal, Non-Formal and Informal)
Students who have done their Bachelor degrees in Mathematics, Mathematics ' Engineering and Mathematics Teacher Trainining program can be directly admitted to the department. However, the students who have received their Bachelor degrees from other fields can be accepted to the program only after taking required preparation courses in one academic year (two semesters).
Qualification Requirements and Regulations
In order to receive a Master of Science degree in Mathematics field, students have to successfully complete compulsory and elective courses, give a seminar about their thesis subjects, and present and defend a review or original research thesis.
Profile of The Programme
The programme aims at providing its students with a broad knowledge in all fields of mathematics, developing students ability to determine and solve mathematical problems, educating students to have sufficient knowledge, experience and improving their learning skills. Objectives of the programme are to train high qualified people who contributes, competes in the fields of mathematics, to have mathematicians who can think critical and solve encountered problems, to serve the technological development of the region and country by the way of expolarition and evolution of scientific research
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
Graduates of Molecular Biology and Genetics Ph.D. program can work in different positions in various pharmaceutical, food and medical firms, including medical clinics and laboratories. In addition, new graduates may apply to various research, education and faculty positions at many national and international universities or institutes.
Access to Further Studies
Students who have successfully completed the program can apply to principal investigator positions in their own field or in related fields.
Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading
It is obligatory to attend at least 70% of the courses taken in the M.Sc. programs within the semester. Success is evaluated by measuring midterm (homeworks, midterms) and final examination. These exams may be written, oral, or both written and oral and/or practical. At least one midterm exam is given for each course. Detailed explanations about the measurement and evaluation of the success of the courses are provided on the Course Information Package page.
Graduation Requirements
Third Cycle (Doctoral Degree) is awarded to students who have -successfully completed at least 7 different courses with minimum 21 credits and a seminary, -obtained a total of 240 ECTS credits, -passed a Doctoral Proficiency Test -prepared a Doctoral Thesis' Proposal and passed a Thesis Defence Examination

Facilities
There is one fully equipped computer lab in our department. There are 1 professor, 1 associate professor, 4 assistant professors in our department.

Faculty Working Mode
1 To have the ability of evaluation, interpretation and application of knowledge, by doing scientific research with the expansion of knowledge in one of the branches, Geometry,Analysis and theory of Functions, Algebra and Number Theory,Topology and Applied Mathematics.
2 To build and solve the problem in the field by himself and be able to develop new strategic approximations
3 To follow, learn and use, the national and international evolutions and variations in the field
4 To be able to quote the studies and results done in the field to audience as oral and documental
5 To follow and check the ethical values in the studies done in the field
6 To have the ability and knowledge of using computer required in the field
7 To have the foreign language knowledge as can refer to the references, communicate the colleague and quote the knowledge as oral and documental
8 To be able to apply the learning’s to inter disciplines and to have the qualification which reach the degree of doctor of philosophy
9 Ability to learn information about history of science and scientific knowledge production
10 Ability to use mathematical knowledge in technology
11 To apply mathematical principles to real world problems
12 Ability to assimilate mathematic related concepts and associate these concepts with each other
13 Be able to organize events for development of critical and creative thinking and problem solving skills by using appropriate methods and techniques
14 Ability to develop a foreign language in sufficient level to follow the information in his/her field of interest and to communicate with the colleges
